A Bit About Me

While theatre is my passion, I do have many other interests (I think...). When I am not onstage, backstage, or teaching, you can usually find me in the nearest large body of water. I absolutely love swimming in lakes, rivers, and the ocean. I also enjoy hikes, when I can motivate myself to get out of the house. Other hobbies include: painting, drawing, writing music, playing the ukulele, teaching myself new skills (currently juggling), and finding fun events to attend around town.
A fun fact about me is that I have an undying love for board games, particularly Camel Up. Sitting down with family, friends, or my partner and playing games makes me very happy. I've been told I'm a little competitive but I prefer "good at winning".
My dad introduced me to my idols growing up: Steve Martin and Robin Williams. He also showed me The Three Stooges and Marx Brothers and helped me discover my love for physical comedy. We would also often watch Singing in the Rain and I remember watching 'Make 'Em Laugh' and thinking, "That, that's what I want to do!"

I think that there is a lot of joy in the world and I am so lucky to get to experience the little and big joys that I do. I hope that if you are someone who also tries to enjoy life to the fullest we get to connect sometime. Maybe over a nice iced latte. :)

My Theatric History
I have been involved in the arts starting at a very young age. I started taking classes at three years old at Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT). At eight, I got involved with SCT's Summer Season. I returned every summer for 10 years with my final year taking part in the Young Actor's Institute (YAI). In 2019 I returned once more as a Drama School Intern. Some of my best summers were spent at the Seattle Center laughing and learning.

Throughout my youth, I was also fortunate to be involved in the Seattle Youth Chorus with Seattle Opera, Film and Television classes with Seattle Talent (formerly John Robert Powers), Vocal Jazz and Concert Choir with Ingraham High School, High School Improv Regional Championship with Jet City Improv and a place on the board of student-run theatre company Black Tie Productions.
In college, I began working as a teacher, improviser, scenic carpenter, and backstage crew member. I found that theatre was more than just being on stage and fell in love with every aspect of it. I was heartbroken when theatres started shutting down due to the pandemic. Pursuing a degree in the performing arts was proving to be extremely difficult online so I decided to take a break.
Now, I have found a new community down in Portland, OR. I have spent the past two years working with the Illumination Project, a social justice theater program, at Portland Community College. Additionally, I teach Level 1 improv classes, co-produce a family-friendly show, and perform musical improv at Curious Comedy Theater.

Born and raised near beautiful Puget Sound, I have an immense love for the water, great food, and the performing arts. I grew up with my family in North Seattle with lots of pets always running underfoot. I graduated from Ingraham High School in 2018 and moved up north for college.
Western Washington University welcomed me with open arms. I joined the scene shop my first year and learned I loved performing and the tech side. I found community in improv and a surprising talent for puppet design. I also adopted my first cat. Then the pandemic hit, and I left school, packed up, and moved to Oregon with my best friend.
As I re-enter the theatre world, I have found community as a teacher, improviser, and technician in many local theatres. I recently graduated from Portland Community College with an Associate of Science and Highest Honors. I will be transferring to Portland State University in the Fall of 2025 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Social Justice and the Arts.
